The Legendary Ace of Cups

The band, the sound, and the story that concert-goers are wild for.

The Ace of Cups are hot off an outstandingly well-received summer ‘19 tour, which included six shows between the Oregon Country Fair and Kate Wolf Festival (where they created massive buzz, hailing as a crowd-favorite), highly-attended performances at the legendary Sweetwater Music Hall, a sold-out gig with Jason Mraz at the Fillmore, and more, along with a recent appearance on the Today Show, where they blew the socks off of Hoda and Andy, whose wild praise continued long after the cameras stopped rolling.

With a legendary story and performances to match, the Ace of Cups are an outstanding act, transcending genres and age groups, and rocking inspired crowds. They are the band you want at your festival.

From 1967 to 1972, the Ace of Cups were at the epicenter of a cultural and social revolution. From the Acid Tests to the protests, from the free concerts in Golden Gate Park to the ballrooms of San Francisco, they shared stages with everyone from The Band to the Grateful Dead, and Jimi Hendrix, who stated his love for the band publicly. With a stunning first official album release in 2019, this band of renegade women is showing the world who they’ve always been…only now with the recognition they deserve in rock history. With exceptional songs, sublime harmonies and exuberant live performances, the Ace of Cups are on the road for the first time in 50 years, rocking stages with the power of history unleashed.

THE MUSIC

COMING SOON! THE THIRD ALBUM: EXTENDED PLAY

By 1969, pioneering West Coast all-female psych-rockers Ace of Cups had already written an astonishing 60+ brilliantly original songs and were a formidable live act, fielding accolades from the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Grace Slick and Jerry Garcia. The band’s new 'Extended Play' E.P. uncovers four ‘lost’ songs written during that magical, lysergic era, and completes a remarkable run of three albums since their sudden reemergence in 2016 to begin recording their debut album – a goal that had eluded them when their star was burning hot and quick. 'Extended Play' channels the band’s wild electricity into patience and strength - spacious acoustic guitars frame beautiful vocal harmonies on “Baby Come Home” while “You Don’t Understand” shimmers with Byrdsy jangle and simmering Spectoresque tension. The music is imbued with honesty, confidence and wisdom, and a lifetime of shared history and deep musical bonds.

Featuring David Grisman, Sid Page, David Freiberg, Terry Haggerty and Steve Kimock.
